In the opening game at St Conleth's Park today, Carbury booked their place in the Joe Mallon Motors SFC with a hard earned four point win over a dogged Confey side.

Carbury led 0-10 to 0-9 at the break but in a free scoring second half Carbury held the upper hand but Confey refused to go away, scoring a total of 20 points but Carbury showed their experience, especially with a few vital breakaway points. however Confey will wonder what might have been if a Jimmy Gately penalty had found the net at a vital time.
