Kildare defender Emmet Bolton is set to miss a fair proportion of the upcoming Allianz Football League (Division 2) following an operation over Christmas for a burst appendix.
The popular defender, one of Kildare’s most experienced players in the 2017 squad, was hospitalised on Christmas Day with stomach pains and underwent surgery on St Stephen’s Day.
