Naas' Gavin Lunny new Provincial Coach to the South Leinster area

Gavin Lunny

Naas Golf Club professional Gavin Lunny has been appointed the new provincial coach to the South Leinster area.

Gavin set up the Naas Golf Academy back in 2006 and since that time he has progressed from working with beginners to juniors,  International and Walker Cup players and PGA members.

Gavin has a proven track record with leading players such as Jack Hume, Conor O'Rourke and Jonathan Yates, all members of Naas GC.  Gavin is qualified to PGA ASQ Level 3 and is currently undertaking the PG/MSc at Birmingham University in sports coaching.

In his new position Gavin will undertake the delivery of a co-ordinated programme of coaching elite panels from the Carlow, Kilkenny and Waterford areas and will bring some new ideas to the existing team of highly experienced and knowledgeable Provincial Coaches.

Commenting on his appointment Gavin said, "I am delighted to be appointed to the Leinster Elite Coaching staff, I am really looking forward to working with the other coaches and staff in Leinster Golf. It was a goal of mine to become involved with the provincial coaching panel for some time and I am grateful for the opportunity to use my own experience to help Leinster Golf".
