Suncroft Ladies celebrate their win in the semi final over Naomh Ciarans of Offaly
The Ladies of Suncroft are just one game away from being crowned Leinster Club Junior football champions and on Sunday they have the opportunity to make that possible when they travel to Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath, to take on Dublin champions, St Maurs, at 2 pm.
The Kildare champions defeated Naomh Ciarans of Offaly in the semi final on a score line of Suncroft 1-13 Naomh Ciarans 1-11 and were very relieved, despite opening brightly with Ellen Dowling scoring 1-1, to hear the final whistle with the Offaly champions scoring the last four points of the game.
Regardless of how Suncroft get on on Sunday, there will be a parish party on that evening (Sunday) begining around 5.30 with free food, live music on bandstand, a few short speeches, team presentations with lots of flags, bunting and hooters to mark the girls achievements.
A great evening guaranteed to mark the girls magnificent achievement or reaching the Leinster final and hopefully coming out on the top on the day.
