Jimmy Higgins, new Naas senior football manager
Jimmy Higgins, Cavan, is take the reins as the new manager of Naas senior footballers; he succeeds Dublin's Philly McMahon who departed the county town team after taking control for the championship campaign of 2025.
Jimmy Higgins, is nephew of former great Mick Higgins who won three All-Ireland medals with Cavan and was regarded as one of the greatest footballers ever to play for his county.
Jimmy guided his native club, Crosserlough to senior success in 2020.
This year Jimmy Higgins was manager of Longford side Emmet Óg Killoe (Killoe Young Emmets) and guided them to their 15th senior football championship in 2025.
Highly respected, he is regarded as a very shrewd tactician and a top class coach of the modern game.
