Kildare GAA: Grangenolvin crowned Junior champions

Grangenolvin clebrate after defeating Rathcoffey in the Kildare Tom Cross JFC Championship final this afternoon

Grangenolvin finally got their hands on the Noel Moran Cup following a fully deserved five point win over Rathcoffey in the Kildare GAA Tom Cross Transport JFC final at Cedral St Conleth's Park, this afternoon

The sides were level at the break Grangenolvin 0-7 Rathcoffey 1-4, with the latter playing with the strong breeze into the Kilcullen. Grange's goal came from a long ball in fielded by Ethan O'Donoghue who was fouled inside and Jason Acton displatched the spot kick to the net.

Grangenolvin took control on the resumption, a Fionn Bergin free and a two-pointer from Tomás Cullen put a bit of daylight between them, still by the end of the third quarter there was still just three point separating them. That was pushed out to six before Ethan O'Donoghan's blasted a 20m free to net and again the margin was three.
