Ciaran Kelly, Moorefield
Over the years Moorefield have pulled many a game out of the bag but this evening's victory against Maynooth must rank as one of their greatest comebacks.
Maynooth dominated for long periods, led at the break 0-7 to 1-1, Moorefield having got a goal after five minutes through Adam Tyrrell and did not score again until 28.
The second half saw Maynooth continued to totally dominate possession, without putting Moorefield away, even with the introduction of Neil Flynn.
A two-pointer from Evan O'Brien on 59 minutes left just two in it on 59 minutes and a minute later Luke Sweeney finished off a goal chance to give the Newbridge side the lead for the first time since the fifth minute.
Mark Murray converted a 45 on 64 minutes as the final whistle arrived with Moorefield clinching a quarter-final spot on a final score line of Moorefield 2-8 Maynooth 0-12.
