Cian Boran shows his determination pushing his way past Paul Divilly in the SFC at Newbridge this afternoon
Eadestown, not only kept themselves out of a relegation final, but due to Caragh defeating Carbury (1-16 to 1-15) it means that the boys in blue now also qualify for a pre quarter final in the SFC, that shows really how close and how much this game meant.
Two early goals put Confey in the driving seat, however by half-time the boys from the north of the county led by 2-6 to 1-5, having played with the benefit of the wind.
Slowly but surely Eadestown cut into that lead, going ahead at one stage only for Confey to regain the lead but it was Emmet Bolton's side who finished the game stronger hitting seven points on the trot and while Confey came back with a late goal it was not enough with Eadestown winning on a final score line of Eadestown 1-20 Confey 3-11.
