Following a pitch inspection at 12 noon today, this evening's senior football challenge between Kildare and Galways has been given the go-ahead and will throw-in at 6 pm.
A fund-raiser for the senior footballers training fund, it will the first inter-county game under lights at the redeveloped stadium; the game is all-ticket and tickets must be pre-purchased from Kildare GAA website. Tap and Go will be in place for OAPs and students only; children U16 are free.
Young fans are encouraged to bring their footballs, play on the pitch at half-time and after the final whistle when there will be a meet and greet for all fans to meet with the players and new management.
