Kildare GAA: Friday Championship results

Sarsfields got the better of Moorefield in the opening game of the SFC at Manguad Park this evening.

In a real cat and mouse affair Moorefield opened a two point lead but  Sarsfields hit back to lead at the break 0-6 to 0-3.

On 42 minutes just a point separated the sides but Sarsfiels hit the next three points on the trot and while Moorefield hit a point an opportunist goal from Ben McCormack sealed the win.

Moorefield hit the final two points of the game but it was not enough as Sarsfields deservedly take the spoils on a final score line of Sarsfields 1-10 Moorefield 0-9.
