Golf: Naas' Robert Brazill to turn pro

After a hugely successful amateur career, Naas Golf Club's Robert Brazill is to turn professional this year and will be heading to the Tour Schools in a matter of weeks.

To help support Robert's adventure Naas Golf Club is to hold a fund-raising eveng, on Friday 17 May, shot gun start at 2 pm.

Among Robert's achievements over the past number of seasons are: West of Ireland Amateur Open Champion 2018; Bridgestone Order of Merit Winner 2019; Connacht Men's Stroke Play Champion 2022.

Robert has also been an integral part of winning Leinster teams in the inter-provincial championships and has represented Ireland in the Home Internationals, the Nassau Invitational and other international events.

Rob's commitment to Naas GC teams has been exemplary having led Senior Cup and Barton Shield teams. This is evidenced by the level of success in recent years with three Leinster Central Pennants and coming so close to that All-Ireland title in Dun Laoghaire last September.

The fund-raising event at Naas golf club, is a four-person team event, €500 per team which includes dinner; raffle and auction on the night with some fantastic prizes; €100 tee-box sponsorship available for the day.

The club askes that anyone unable to attend on the day a donation would be very mujch appreciated.
