Kildare suffered a three point defeat at the hands of Meath at Navan this afternoon, and now with the only team without a point in Division 2 face the prospect of relegation.
In a game that ebbed and flowed throughout, Meath led at the break by one 0-6 to 0-5.
Injuries to Darrgh Kirwan, Ben McCormack, Barry Kelly and Eoin Doyle saw all four forced off throughout the game.
Kildare battled really hard and led by one point late in the half but Meath finished the strongest scoring the final four points of the game.
Final score: Meath 0-12 Kildare 0-9.
