2023 Kildare GAA Player of The Year Awards announced
The 2023 Kildare GAA Player of The Year award winners have been announced. The intercounty winners were Celbridge's Kevin O'Callaghan who showed huge improvement to his game across the year and brought real value to the midfield area for Kildare.
The hurling winner was Simon Leacy, a huge part in Kildare's electric start to the year as they made a huge run at Division 2A title success.
The Senior club hurling and football both went to Naas men as the sides picked up their fifth and third title in a row respectively, with the winners being Jack Sheridan and Alex Beirne.
Unsurprisingly it was men from Allenwood and Milltown that took home the Intermediate and Junior prizes as the neighbours both went on exceptional Leinster and All-Ireland Club Championship runs after claiming their respective county titles. The winners were Allenwood centre-back Darragh Malone and Milltown's midfield titan Kevin Byrne.
Leixlip, Wolfe Tones and Maynooth would claim the remaining hurling prizes as top-scorer Darragh Melville took home the Senior B award, Kevin Foley taking home the Junior title and Darragh Power winning the Intermediate level player prize.
