Round 3 of the UPMC SHC took place at Manguard Park this evening and it was Celbridge who got the better of Confey in the derby clash which sees them (Celbridge) advance to the semi-final. Maynooth will play in the only one quarter-final.
Celbridge led at the break 1-7 to 0-9 and while the second half was played in an absolute downpour it was Celbridge who held out to win on a final score line fo Celbridge 1-13 Maynooth 0-14.
In the second game in Group B, Confey defeated Clane by a two points (Confey 0-18 Clane 2-10) which means Clane are relegated to Senior B come 2024.
Confey retain the senior status.
