Kildare push Dublin to the brink but come up two short

So close for Glenn Ryan's side but now it is on to the All-Ireland Series

Kildare led Dublin for all of 64 minutes in this pulsating Leinster SFC semi-final before the 1/33 favourites finall took the lead with a Cormac Costello free with Lorcan Dell adding a second to clinch it  on 72 minutes on a final score line of Dublin0-14 Kildare 0-12.

It was a heroic dispay from Glenn Ryan's side, composed, disciplined they defended brilliantly led by four points after 41minutes but Dublin stuck to their task brilliantly chipped away but The Lilies still led by three after a Jack Robinson free on 48.

Three points on the trot leveled it up;Neill Flynn hit a brilliant point to regain the lead but Jack McCaffrey leveled before Dublin hit the final two  points of the game.

Kildare led at at the break by two, 0-8 to 0-6 and it could have been a fair bit more.

After Darragh Kirwan put Kildare in front after a minute; Jack Robinson was put in the clear carried for some 30 years before being denied by the recalled Stephen Cluxton.

Dublin had their chances both from open play and frees but went three behind on 31 minutes when Kirwan was again on target but Dublin hit back with points Con O'Callaghan (free) and Ross McGarry.

Just on the half-time whistel Darragh Kirwan was pulled back and Jack Robinson fired over to leave the half-time scorer reading Kildare 0-8 Dublin 0-6.
