Kildare routed by Cork in AFL

Rebels well worth theier 13 point victory

To say it was a bad day at the office for Kildare would be an understatement of monumental proportions as Cork defeted The Lilies by all of 13 points and were well worth each and every one of then.

Kildare did not get their opening point until 28 minute and added just one more before the break, trailing 1-8 to 0-2.

A slight improvement in the second half but Kildare never put Cork under any pressure, losing a man to a straight red certainly did not help but adding a mere five points in the second half while Cork added 1-6 was just not good enough .

In fairness Cork looked sharper, more focused and put last week's defeat against Meath behind them with an overall impressive display.
