UPDATED — PHOTO: Gardaí and emergency services attend two separate collisions in Kilcullen, County Kildare

Two road traffic incidents occurred in Kilcullen earlier this week (and both at 1.30pm).

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the first incident, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two vehicle road traffic collision on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at approximately 1.30pm in Kilcullen.

"No injuries have been reported.

"Material damage only."

The spokesperson added that 'investigations are ongoing' at present.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the second incident, a separate garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí responded to  a report of a car on fire in Kilcullen, County Kildare yesterday Thursday, August 22, 2024.

"The incident occurred at approximately 1.30pm.

"Local fire services extinguished the fire.

"There were no reports of injuries."

The spokesperson added: "No offences disclosed."
