Ireland's second most-capped rugby player, Ronan O'Gara, has ruled himself out of the running to become the next England head coach.

O'Gara, who holds the current record for the most test points for his country, was approached by the English RFU last week while the organisation were making a list of candidates to replace Eddie Jones after the Rugby World Cup in 2023.

O'Gara guided La Rochelle to the Champions Cup title this year with a win over Leinster.
