Convicted for driving without due care at Baltracey Cross in Kildare

A Navan man’s speeding in the Baltracey Cross area of west Kildare have led to him being convicted for not driving with due care and attention.

At Kilcock District Court, sitting in Naas, on November 21, Davide Tamlio (50), of 6 Chestnut Grove, Johnstown, Navan, was charged with driving without due care and attention at Baltracey Cross on March 6 this year.

Garda Inspector John Costello said Gardai were present in the area on the day in an unmarked patrol car.

They say Mr Tamilo’s car passing by and estimated it was travelling at 120kph in what was designated an 80 kph speed limit.

Inspector Costello went on to say that the car drive through Baltracey Cross doing over 100 kph.

Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed a fine of €350, giving him six months to pay.
