A fatal collision has occured between Johnstownbridge and Kilshanroe on the R402 road.
The Leinster Leader understands that a collision between a lorry and two cars occured before 3pm this afternoon.
Emergency services are at the scene.
And the road is closed until further notice as forensic Gardai inspect the scene.
