Gardaí based in County Kildare are investigating a suspected firearms discharge incident in Newbridge.
When asked about the incident, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Gardaí responded to the suspected discharge of a firearm in the Rosconnell area of Newbridge, County Kildare last night, Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
"The incident occurred at approximately 8pm and there were no reports of injuries.
"The scene is currently preserved for technical examination."
The spokesperson added that investigations by gardaí are currently ongoing.
