Rest in Peace James McEvoy
Tributes have poured in following the death of a young husband and father from Cavan who died suddenly at home.
James McEvoy was from Porton, Crosserlough, Cavan and died Thursday, March 26th suddenly at his home.
Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by his wife and best friend Keava and their son Louie, his parents Bríd & Andy, brother Paul (Tara), sisters; Andrea (Declan), Lisa (Jamie) and Thérése (Jamie), brother in law Caolán, sisters in law; Amanda (Darragh) & Éadaoin (Cian), nieces, & nephews; Josh, Mila, Alice, Jack, Alfie, Naofa and Ayvie, parents in law Ann & John Galligan, his grandparents; John & Tessie Lynch and James & Mary McEvoy (RIP) , aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.
Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and cared for James, with one mourner writing,
"My deepest condolences go out to James’ family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched.
"He was a cherished colleague, someone with an inspiring vision, always positive, and truly one of the kindest people to work with.
"It was a privilege and a joy to work alongside him. He really left a lasting impression, and he will be greatly missed by all of us. May James rest in peace".

Another message said, "I am truly heartbroken to hear of James’s sudden passing. It’s hard to put into words the loss of someone who was not just a colleague for so many years, but also a friend.
"Over time, what started as work grew into something much more meaningful. I will always be grateful for the friendship we built, and I’ll deeply miss the many conversations, laughs, and especially the shared passion we had for sportscars. Those moments meant a great deal to me, and I will carry them with me.
"James was someone you could rely on—genuine, warm, and full of life. He made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and I know I’m better for having known him.
My thoughts are with you, Keava, with Louie, and with all of James’s family during this incredibly difficult time. I hope that, in time, you can find some comfort in the love that surrounds you and in the many memories James leaves behind. He will always be remembered and never forgotten".
Another person said "James was a truly special person, and I feel so grateful to have known him. His kindness, warmth, and the love he had for his family were so clear to anyone who met him. He brought so much light to those around him and will be deeply missed.
"Keava, my heart breaks for you and, Louie. The love James had for you both was so strong, and I hope that in time it brings you comfort and strength. Thinking of all James friends and family at this very sad time," another person said.
