Irish homeowners are being offered the chance of a free, in-person home visit from Dermot Bannon with four households set to win a personal consultation with the Room to Improve architect.
The TV favourite has teamed up with Irish home fuel company WillowWarm for the nationwide giveaway, which will see Bannon travel around the country to help winners rethink, redesign and improve their homes.
The prize offers far more than just ideas on paper with Bannon set to visit each winning property in person, armed with his trademark sketchbook and straight-talking advice.
Whether you are planning a new build, a major reconstruction, a renovation, or just looking for inspiration for minor changes, Dermot will make a personal visit to your home to help you unlock your home’s true potential.
Speaking about the initiative, Bannon said the recent cold snap has been a reminder of how important it is for homes to be both comfortable and efficient.
“With the weather so cold at the moment, it really highlights the need to focus on insulation and making the house as warm and as efficient as possible. Economical and cosy. This is my focus when renovating and retrofitting a home,” he said.
The competition follows a similar giveaway last year, which attracted hundreds of entries and saw Bannon visit families across the country, from parents adapting homes for children with additional needs, to couples modernising long-held family houses and growing families struggling with poorly designed layouts.
Entrants are being asked to explain what changes they’d like to make to their home and why expert advice could make a real difference.
Four winners will then be selected for a free, one-to-one consultation.
Entries close on Wednesday, February 18, with the winners set to be announced the following week. To enter the competition, visit the WillowWarm website by clicking here.
