Teenage pedestrian seriously injured in crash with scrambler motorbike – Gardai

A teenage girl was seriously injured in a crash involving a scrambler motorbike in Dublin, Gardai say.

It happened on the Ratoath Road in Finglas at around 2.20pm on Sunday.

In a statement the Gardai say the girl, a pedestrian, was brought to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown “for treatment of injuries believed to be serious”.

Two teenagers on the bike were treated for “non life-threatening” injuries.

One was described as “an adult male, aged in his late teens” and the other a “male juvenile”.

Gardai say forensic collision investigators are conducting a technical examination of the scene and the road remains closed.

They are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
