Investigations are ongoing
An elderly man has died following a collision with a vehicle in Ennis, Co Clare, An Garda Síochána have confirmed.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident, which occurred in the Abbey Street area on Monday, December 8 at approximately 1pm.
The crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. This pedestrian, a man aged in his 80s, was conveyed to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

He was then pronounced dead two weeks after the collision on Monday, December 22. The Coroner was notified and a post-mortem examination has since been completed, the results of which are not being made public.
Gardaí are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Abbey Street area between 12:45pm and 1:15pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
