Storm Amy continues to cause widespread disruption across Ireland, with ESB Networks reporting that 49,000 homes, farms, and businesses remain without electricity today. The worst affected areas include counties Donegal, Leitrim, Roscommon, Galway, and Mayo.
ESB crews have been working in challenging conditions overnight to restore supply. More than two-thirds of customers affected by the storm have already had their power restored, and they expect the majority of remaining outages to be resolved by tomorrow night.
However, some homes and businesses, particularly in Donegal and other northwest regions, may remain without power into the early part of next week.

The public is urged to stay safe around fallen wires or damaged electrical equipment, as they remain live and extremely dangerous. Customers can track restoration progress and receive updates via ESB’s “Keep Me Updated” service at powercheck
ESB thanked the public for their patience as crews continue to work to restore power safely.
