The Fiat Seicento Michael Schumacher limited edition is being sold by Kylemore Cars after being brought back to life
A 24-year-old Fiat Seicento is being sold on DoneDeal for almost €10,000 due to its link to former Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher.
The rare Fiat Seicento is one of just 5,000 Michael Schumacher special editions to be be made by the Italian car makers in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The 2001 car on DoneDeal is being sold by Kylemore Cars after it was a 'barn find' by one of their workers.
"It was a lucky barn find from one of our colleagues at the purchase department. Only three previous owners had this car on the roads until it was abandoned in 2018," Kylemore Cars say on their website.
"After being abandoned, we decided to bring life back to this Fiat Seicento Michael Schumacher limited edition number 774 out of only 5,000 units made," they added.
"And now, after some renovation, she is back on the road with all its original glory. There was no part of the car untouched.
All moving parts were checked for wear and rust. The car was always kept inside so was in a good condition.

"Also, seals, rubbers, and connections were treated and replaced where needed. The body received a full treatment. 2 stage polish and paint correction, dents removal, panel alignment and coating after all to seal from future exposure to the elements.
"Even the paint inside the cabin was retouched and polished to give the car the showroom finish it has now.
"Side door trims, logos and stickers were all bought original from Italy. We could even source the original booklet the car used to come with, containing all the specs and description of the Limited Edition.
"Ultimately, engine and gearbox went trough a deep inspection. Major service, carbon clean up, wheel tracking and balance, new tyres and all the TLC possible went into it," the description added.
Fiat made some versions of their cars with limited editions. It happened with the Stilo, Punto and 500 also. Michael Schumacher took part in special TV adverts for it at the time.
"This one is special and has some touches from Michael Schumacher like signatures, limited edition plates, wider body kit with skirts and spoiler, bigger Abarth 14inch alloys and some tweaks by made by Abarth like a close gear ratio."
This model has just 55,000 miles on the clock and you can read more about it on DoneDeal.
