Gardaí stand down search for missing teenager amid update

An 18-year-old who had been the subject of a missing person appeal has been "located safely", gardaí have confirmed.

Cristian Zeleniuc - described as approximately 5 foot 9 inches in height, of slim build with brown hair - was reported missing from Portlaoise, Co. Laois on Wednesday, March 26.

He had been last seen in the early hours of Wednesday wearing a white T-shirt, grey tracksuit, white and blue coat and black trainers at Station Road in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.

"Gardaí would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance," a garda spokesperson said.
