RIP: Funeral details announced for 'true gentleman' from Offaly following tragic road accident

Tributes have poured in following the unexpected and tragic death of Shaun Colgan, late of Killaderry, Daingean, Co. Offaly, following a fatal crash on Monday.

Shortly after 12pm on Monday, Gardaí and emergency services responded to a collision involving a single vehicle at Killaderry, Daingean.

Upon arrival, Gardaí found Shaun, the sole occupant of the car, to be in serious condition and he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later. 

Shaun, described by those who knew him as a "true gentleman", a "gifted carpenter", and a "wonderful work colleague", will be sadly missed by his loving sister Gemma and brother Patrick, brother in law Paul, sister in law Mary, his adored nieces and nephew Becky, Sonya, Emma and Patrick, grandnieces Eabhí and Éala, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

He is pre deceased by his parents Paddy and Teresa.

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at O'Reilly's Funeral Home, Harbour Street, Tullamore (R35 FC84) on Wednesday from 4.30pm until Removal at 6.30pm to Mary Mother of God Church, Daingean, arriving for Funeral Prayers at 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11am followed by Burial after Mass in St. Mary's Cemetery, Daingean.
