Revenue officers seized more than 20 kilos of herbal cannabis at commercial premises on Tuesday with the help of detector dog Milo.
Revenue officers seized 20.5kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €410,000 in Dublin as a result of risk profiling.
“The illicit drugs were discovered, with the assistance of detector dog Milo, when Revenue officers conducted a search of a commercial premises in Dublin,” said a Revenue spokesperson.
“Investigations are ongoing,” they added.
This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale, and supply of illegal drugs. If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding smuggling they can contact Revenue in confidence on 1800 295 295.
