A man and woman, aged in their 50s, were arrested yesterday in connection with the death

Man arrested in connection with murder of Tipperary grandmother released without charge

A man arrested in connection with the death of 89-year-old Tipperary woman Josephine “Josie” Ray has been released without charge.

Josephine “Josie” Ray’s body was discovered at a residence at St Joseph's Park, Nenagh, Co.Tipperary on Sunday afternoon last. 

A man and woman aged in their 50s, were arrested yesterday in connection with the death.

The man was this afternoon released without charge and a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The woman, aged in her 50s remains in garda custody, at this time. 

Investigations are ongoing.
