Irish tourists visiting Paris during the Olympics may need a QR code to access some areas of the city.
Parisian authorities have reminded people that certain zones are limited by security - and a QR code is needed to go through.
The ‘Pass-Jeux’ (which translates to ‘Game pass’) Four perimeters have been put in place from July 26 to August 11, where only fans accredited by Paris 2024 or those with tickets will be able to go.
Anyone wanting to travel to the grey zones will have to apply for a 'Pass Jeux', which will give them access to a QR code needed to pass through security.
An interactive map is available here to see which zones are impacted.
Red zones will not be available to vehicles.
You can apply for a pass to assess the grey zones here.
Those with tickets with the opening ceremony of the Olympics will not need a pass on July 26, and will only have to show their tickets as well as a form of ID.
The pass, however, is needed prior to the opening ceremony.
