ALERT: Lidl recalls hugely popular food product after label mishap
Lidl has recalled batches of it's popular ranch sauce as a mistake with the labelling meant certain ingredients were not listed, which could be harmful for those with allergies.
The above batch of Batts Ranch Sauce contains milk, egg, and mustard which are not declared in the list of ingredients. This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk, egg, and/or mustard.
The batch code has a best before date of 17/01/2025, and customers are advised to bring the affected item back into any Lidl store for a full refund, no need for a receipt.
A spokesperson for Lidl has said,
"Lidl Ireland is recalling the above 'Batts Ranch Sauce' with best before date 17/01/25. Due to a labelling error the allergens eggs, milk and mustard are not declared correctly on the packaging.
"If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to egg, milk or mustard we advise you not to consume it. Instead, please return the product to a Lidle store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.
"Lidl wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused. Any customers with queires or concerns can contact our Customer Services Team on 01 920 3010."
