Gardai have seized a number of vehicles during a pre-planned operation in Dublin.
As part of the joint operation with Transport for Ireland, a number of checkpoints were established at key locations in the city centre.
A number of garda units were deployed with members of the Mounted Unit also providing assistance.
A variety of offences were detected and some motorists are expected to face prosecution.
Gardai have also confirmed that a number of vehicles were seized during the operation.
"Among the detections picked up during three checkpoints in Dublin City with our partners in TFI were five cars seized for no insurance or tax, and another found to be illegally operating as a taxi," read a statement, posted in social media.
