ALERT: Possible damage to fertility prompts recall of baby dummies bought by Irish parents

Baby dummies bought from an online platform by Irish parents are being recalled due to possible risks to future fertility.

The major safety issue was identified in baby dummies sold on the popular Ali Express platform.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the products present a chemical risk as they contain Bisphenol A (BPA), a recognised endocrine disruptor.

BPA may damage fertility and has been identified as a substance affecting the hormonal systems of humans and animals.

The AliExpress product IDs are 1005004488694515, 1005005501115208, and 1005004780241869, while the model numbers include EL-5-42 / P103-Z MS1142-Crown / A35-12-03, as well as some unknown model numbers.

There are approximately 100 affected products in Ireland.

If you purchased one of these products, please stop use immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.

You may wish to contact AliExpress to see if there are any remedies available to you.

This can be done via your user account on the AliExpress platform.
