Good news for Bord Gais Energy customers!

The company is cutting prices for the second time in just four months. Starting from February 29, 2024, residential customers will see a 10% reduction in electricity unit rates, a 9.5% drop in gas unit rates, and an 8% cut in standing charges.

These new rates are automatically applied to existing customers and are also available for those considering a switch. If you're a dual fuel customer, you could save around €331 annually. Electricity-only customers will see a yearly reduction of €190, and gas-only customers can expect to save €141.

For those who benefited from the November price drop, dual fuel customers could now save nearly €1,000 per year.

Bills will reflect these changes, showing two date ranges: the rates before the change (up to February 28, 2024) and the new rates (from February 29, 2024).

Bord Gais Energy's move aims to provide relief to households and offers a simple way for customers to save on their energy bills.
