Gardaí seize car as unaccompanied learner neglects to use seat belt on rural road

THE ROADS Policing Unit of An Garda Síochána recently seized a vehicle while out on a routine patrol in Roscommon.

The unit which was patrolling in the Ballaghdreen area noticed a vehicle being driven without the driver wearing a seat belt. 

Upon stopping the vehicle, it was discovered that the driver was an unaccompanied learner who was not wearing a seat belt, and the car had no tax.

In response to these violations, the Roscommon Roads Policing Unit took immediate action by seizing the vehicle.

"Proceedings to follow," said a garda spokesperson via X.
