An Irish consumer safety group is warning parents of the choking risk posed by a Christmas toy.
According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the Musical Toy Christmas Dancing Cactus sold on the AliExpress platform contains small parts (eyes) which can become detached and, if ingested, can be a choking hazard to a child.
The brand, model type/model number and barcode is unknown, however the AliExpress item number is 1005003212516430.
Given the online availability of this product, it may have been sold to customers in the Republic of Ireland.
Anyone who purchased one of these products is advised to discontinue use immediately, discard the product and keep it out of the reach of children.
You may wish to contact AliExpress to see if there are any remedies available, which can be done via the user account on the platform.
