KILDARE COURT: Woman is 'living in fear' of former husband

There is increasing concern over the future of Naas Courthouse

A woman told Naas District Court she is living in fear of her ex-husband.

“He gets very angry when he doesn’t get what he wants,” she claimed during a family law hearing at Naas District Court.

The couple are legally separated and the man did not attend and was not represented.

The woman further alleged that his “controlling and abusive behaviour” has had an effect on her mental health.

She also claimed that in order to stop him leaving voice messages for her, she had to stop receiving all such messages.

She told the court she had been attending a counsellor and her anxiety has increased.

The court granted an interim protection order. The court also also ruled that the man can make contact via WhatsApp concerning the children.
