A man had a knife held against his neck by his wife who threatened to kill him.

The man made the allegation at a Naas District Court sitting.

He told the court they have very young children together.

He added she accused him of cheating. He also stated he is very concerned because she seemed very angry.

Asked by Judge Michael Ramsey if he had been injured during the incident he replied that he was not.

The woman was not present and was not represented.

Judge Ramsey granted a protection order to the man and adjourned the case to May 26 for a fuller hearing.
