Just 2.4% of county council homes in Kildare are vacant

Only 2.4% of residential properties owned by Kildare County Council are empty.

Up to December, according to KCC, some 2.38% of its total housing stock is vacant.

The council has a total of 6,578 dwellings.

The number of properties in need of major refurbishment amounts to 114 while the number requiring minor works across the county is put at 37.

Some five properties are waiting to be allocated.

Of those needing major work, 10 are in Naas two are in Sallins and one is located in Kill. Of those needing  minor repairs five are in Naas, three in Sallins and one in Ballymore Eustace.
