Woman hospitalised because of emotional abuse - claim

There is increasing concern over the future of Naas Courthouse

Naas District Court was told that a woman was hospitalised because of alleged emotional abuse at the hands of her husband.

The woman claimed that he has hit her and her daughter and it had been going on for well more than a decade.

She further alleged during the hearing that she had been assaulted and hit her head off skirting board.

The man was not at hearing and he was not represented.

She said she had starved herself and she lives at home with the children, one of whom has moved “because they can‘t hack it any more.”

The court granted an interim protection order and adjourned the matter to February 12.
