Pedestrian crossing is urgently needed in a Kildare town

A zebra crossing is needed in Sallins “as a matter of priority.”

Local councillor Carmel Kelly said it should be provided  on the Sherlockstown Road - at the junction of the new pedestrian/cycle bridge.

She said: “This is to do with the safety of children going to and from school” and said that what is there is a ramp and “I want a pedestrian crossing.”

According to KCC,  a review of crossings as part of the greenway project is to be undertaken.
