Kill
Tomorrow (Tuesday 18th June) is the opening night for Juno and The Paycock, directed by David Dunne and staged by the Kill Musical and Dramatic Society.
This Irish play is set in the working-class tenements of Dublin during the Irish Civil War in the early 1920s, and follows the Boyle family, particularly focusing on the mother, Juno, and her husband, Captain Jack Boyle.
The story explores themes of poverty, political turmoil, and the impact of war on a struggling family. The title reflects the central conflict as Juno seeks stability and responsibility while Captain Jack, the "Paycock," indulges in escapism and irresponsibility. The play provides a poignant and often tragic commentary on the socio-political landscape of the time.
Tickets available online at https://www.gr8events.ie/sales/index.php?event=1332 in the parish office or can be purchased at the door.
