Ms. McGarr’s body was discovered in a black Volkswagen Touran in the car park at the Tesco shopping centre in Monread, Naas. at around noon today (March 21).
The presence of the vehicle was reported to the gardai and it is understood there was nobody else in the car or in the vicinity of the vehicle.
It is also understood that the vehicle may have been in the car park overnight.
“The death is being investigated but pending the results of a post mortem examination, we are not treating it as suspicious,” a garda spokesman told the Leader.
The body was transferred to the mortuary at Naas Hospital and the post mortem is likely to take place there on Monday.
