It’s understood the project is in the final stages. The brand new glass front entrance at the centre of the building is up and in use, while the right hand side of the building is currently hoarded off.
It’s business as usual at Dunnes Stores and the other units.
The project had been held up after it was appealed to An Bord Pleanála. The revamp involved the demolition of nine units to the right hand side of the building as well as the restaurant. The restaurant is currently located within the Dunnes Stores store.
The units on the left are being renovated to incorporate four new units and an upgraded toilet block.
The textile and grocery areas will expand, and there will be 417 car spaces, and a covered walk-way.
