Breaking: Man arrested in connection with Kildare murder

Body of Philip Finnegan found in woods near Carbury

A man was arrested this afternoon in connection with the murder of Dubliner Philip Finnegan.

Mr Finnegan’s body was found on September 2 in Rahin Woods, near Carbury and Edenderry. The 24-year-old had been missing from his home in Dublin 8 since August 10.

A man in his thirties was arrested in Portlaoise at 1pm today, Wednesday November 16. He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Leixlip Garda Station.
