Kildare Animal Foundation gets set for vital Open Day fundraiser

Having fun at last year's Kildare Animal Foundation Open Day

Kildare Animal Foundation will hold an open day on July 10, from 1pm onwards, as part of its annual fundraising events.

The foundation at Lough Andy’s House, South Green Rd, Kildare town, is asking people to support their main annual fund raising event.

Described as a great day out with something for every member of the family, it will have attractions such as face painting, bottle stall, cake stall, plants, antiques, kiddies games, refreshments, crafts, monster raffle and much more. It is also an opportunity to see all the animals in their care and the work that goes on there

While the admission is free the foundation asks that you do not bring your dog to the Open Day as it upsets the resident animals at the shelter.

The shelter has made an appeal recently for volunteers due to the high number of animals being either abused or neglected in and around Kildare. The foundation offers a safe place for those animals in the hope that they will be rehoused by new families who will care for them.
