Kildare County Council should become more flexible to meets the needs of people living within the county.
That's according to three Social Democrats councillors - Nuala Killeen, Paula Mulroe and Claire O’Rourke.
They say residents often face unnecessary difficulty accessing Council services "due to fragmented systems and multiple points of contact."
They want a one stop shop launched as a pilot project to provide "a single point of access for ouncil services (including housing, environment, planning, and community supports) through a weekly in-person clinic, supported by a dedicated phone and online contact point."
They say KCC staff should "assist residents regardless of query and coordinate directly with relevant departments, removing the need for multiple contacts and simplifying the user experience."
They also want the the project to be evaluated later with the intention of rolling it out across the county.
