Local councillor Ger Dunne criticised the condition of some dwellings at St Ita’s Place in Naas as being in very poor condition.
Cllr Dunne told a Naas Municipal District meeting that some residents are willing to improve their homes but “are afraid to do so because they could be moved.”
It was suggested almost two years ago that the development would be demolished.
Cllr Dunne said the residents don’t seem to be able to get help and it's not clear whether Kildare County Council or an approved housing body, like Cluid, will take action.
He asked how long more would the residents “have to put up with this.”

It is understood that a number of the dwellings are vacant.
According to KCC the approved housing body expects to have a design team appointed shortly.
It added that a planning application will be prepared at that time and arrangements will be made to meet with the residents.
